Polling stations will be open until 9 p.m. on June 6
As part of the by-election for the office of mayor and city councillor of the Rivière-des-Prairies–Pointe-aux-Trembles borough, the chief returning officer of Quebec accepted the request of the returning officer of Montréal, Yves Saindon, to extend polling hours by one hour on election day. All polling stations will thus be open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., on June 6.
This measure is in addition to those already announced by the returning officer, aimed at minimizing the potential impact of Tour de l’Île de Montréal activities in certain sectors of the borough on electors who wish to exercise their right to vote on election day. For further details, please consult the Tour de l’Île de Montréal section of this site.
