On November 1, it’s my city, it’s up to me!
Here we are, less than 48 hours away from the election. The returning officer, Me Yves Saindon, urges everyone to vote on Sunday: “Voting is the noblest of civic duties. It is also the very foundation of any democracy. By exercising our right to vote, we select those we entrust with the task of running our city, thus reinforcing our democratic institutions.”
The 3830 polling stations at 542 polling places on city territory will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday, November 1.
To be entitled to vote, you must produce one of the following identification documents: health insurance card, driver’s licence, Canadian passport, certificate of Indian status, Canadian Forces identity card. And do not forget to bring your reminder.
You will be handed separate ballot papers of different colors (see image) for each elective office you are entitled to vote. No electronic technology will be used.
The addresses of polling stations are listed on the reminder mailed out this week, as well as under Where do I vote?
