The returning officer, Me Yves Saindon, announces the official provisional results of the by-election of June 6, 2010. 
Voter turnout (12 p.m.)
At 12 p.m., the returning officer announced that 5,97 % of electors had exercised their right to vote at the by-election. The total includes electors at the advance poll on May 30. 
Voter turnout (2 p.m.)
At 2 p.m., the returning officer announced that 8,58 % of electors had exercised their right to vote at the by-election. The total includes electors at the advance poll on May 30. 
Voter turnout (4 p.m.)
At 4 p.m., the returning officer announced that 10,92 % of electors had exercised their right to vote at the by-election. The total includes electors at the advance poll on May 30. 
Voter turnout (7 p.m.)
At 7 p.m., the returning officer announced that 14,07 % of electors had exercised their right to vote at the by-election. The total includes electors at the advance poll on May 30. 
Closing of polling stations and transmission of results
Polling stations are now closed in Rivière-des-Prairies–Pointe-aux-Trembles borough. As soon as the first results are transmitted to the returning officer, they will be posted online on this page.

The polling stations will be open on Sunday, June 6, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.

At 4 p.m., the returning officer announced that 2,27 % of electors had exercised their right to vote at the advance poll.

As part of the by-election for the office of mayor and city councillor of the Rivière-des-Prairies–Pointe-aux-Trembles borough, the chief returning officer of Quebec accepted the request of the returning officer of Montréal, Yves Saindon, to extend polling hours by one hour on election day. All polling stations will thus be open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., on June 6.
