Lisa Christensen declared elected

Following the judicial recount requested after the election on November 5, 2017 for the office of borough councillor for the La Pointe-aux-Prairies district in the Rivière-des-Prairies–Pointe-aux-Trembles borough, Me Yves Saindon, Returning Officer for Montréal, hereby announces that pursuant to the decision of the Court of Québec, Lisa Christensen, candidate with Projet Montréal – Équipe Valérie Plante, has officially been declared elected by a majority of 30 votes over Manuel Guedes, candidate with Équipe Denis Coderre pour Montréal.  Next

One application for a recount of votes: La Pointe-aux-Prairies district

The returning officer for Montréal has announced that only one application for a recount was submitted to the Court of Québec by the legally prescribed deadline. Lisa Christensen (Projet Montréal - Équipe Valérie Plante), who obtained the largest number of votes for the position of borough councillor in the La Pointe-aux-Prairies electoral district (Rivière-des-Prairies–Pointe-aux-Trembles borough) cannot be sworn in on Thursday, since she cannot be declared elected until the results have been certified by a judge, as required by law.  Next

On municipal election day, November 5, over 3,000 young Voters in training made a mark on a ballot paper for the first time on city territory. Young people were asked to answer the following question: “In Montréal, what is most important to you?”  Next
