New distribution of reminder cards in the Parc-Extension electoral district

Élection Montréal has recently been informed that incorrect information appears on the back of certain reminder cards, among the 5,796 redistributed over the past few days in the Parc-Extension electoral district (Villeray – Saint-Michel – Parc-Extension borough).

These cards contain the wrong names of candidates for certain elective offices. Please note that the remaining information on the back of the cards is correct (names of electors, voting locations and times).

According to available information, the number of cards with errors is very limited.

However, as the printing company is unable to confirm the exact number of incorrect cards, Élection Montréal has decided to reprint all of the reminder cards concerned.

These new reminder cards will be distributed by Élection Montréal personnel directly to each address as of Wednesday, November 1.

In order to differentiate them from the previous ones, the new cards will be yellow. Radio messages will also be broadcasted to clearly explain the situation to electors.

In the meantime, electors may find the address of the polling station at the returning officer’s office for their borough and of their polling station on election day, as well as the names of the candidates running for office, by consulting the website at mycitymyvote.ca, in the “Where and when to vote?” section or by calling 514 872-VOTE (8683).

Élection Montréal is sorry for any inconvenience this situation may have caused and apologizes to all voters concerned.
