Continuous coverage of the election at city hall

The lobby of city hall at 275, rue Notre-Dame Est will be open to the public as of 7:45 p.m. on Sunday, November 1, to greet all those who wish to follow borough-by-borough election results, as they unfold on a giant screen.

On November 1, it’s my city, it’s up to me!

Here we are, less than 48 hours away from the election. The returning officer, Me Yves Saindon, urges everyone to vote on Sunday: “Voting is the noblest of civic duties. It is also the very foundation of any democracy. By exercising our right to vote, we select those we entrust with the task of running our city, thus reinforcing our democratic institutions.” 

Week of November 1-7, 2009

November 1, 2009

  • Polling day
     10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • End of election period
  • Election night at city hall, starting at 9 p.m.

November 5, 2009

  • Last day to request a recount or a re-addition of the votes

November 6, 2009

  • Declaration of elected candidates
